Lappa Valley Steam Railway

Another great Cornwall kids' attraction, the Lappa Valley Steam Railway will take you on a scenic woodland tour aboard a steam engine train. You'll pass through a tunnel, round the Trevithick Maze, pass the nature pond and return to the station at East Wheal Rose. On your visit, you can also watch the East Wheal Rose Disaster Video telling the story of a torrential downpour that left 60 miner's children fatherless. If you're interested in historic buildings, you can visit the East Wheal Rose Mine Engine House. Dating from 1882, this was housed of the largest mine engine pumps in Cornwall. Other attractions at Lappa Valley Steam Railway include children's' play area, canoes, a maze, pedal bikes and a play castle.
