Stayed on a Pig Farm
Reviewed by: Gail Nilsen (Guest) , Jul 18 2010 3:36PM
It was about 1969. We were driving thru England, and stopped to ask where to stay for the night. "Call this B&B", which we did from one of those red telephone booths. We slept upstairs in a big old house, with windows looking out over the land and pigs being fed by the Farmer. We had fresh (warm) milk on the dining room table in the morning. And when it was time to leave, we were asked to write out our names and the Farmer's wife would embroider them onto a throw, which she had on the back of their sofa. We could come back some day to see it! The room was her daughter's bedroom, and the daughter had just gone away to college. I have NEVER forgotten the magic of our visit. If anyone wants to add a comment, I sure would appreciate,-- and might return someday soon!
