Just arrived and although a windy rainy day, have fallen in love with this town
From Australia, I marvel at the retained history that Lewes has to offer
Saxon times, Henry v111 influence and the beauty of cobbled streets and Georgian buildings
Plus the castle and the historic brewery
Highly recommended to visit

Hi, I visited Lewes recently for the weekend. Ate at the Kings Head which is a great gastropub, and walked on the Downs. Farmers market was lovely too.
