Today the site of St. Mary's is a park with paving stones which outline the walls of the chapel destroyed in World War II. There are still a few grave markers and two tombs in the area and the clergy house, not empty, stands adjacent. It is a lovely oasis in the midst of busy East London. There are large old trees for shade, children's play toys, and park benches. My ancestors were married there and both of their sons, who emigrated to the English colony of New Hampshire in the 1630's, were baptized there. That's why I made the pilgrimate to the little park.
